Smt. Sujatha Thiyagarajan is a Veena Vidhushi . She is a professional artist and a great teacher. She performs and teaches in Tanjore style which is noted for the Bhava. She was privileged to begin her musical journey at the tender age , under a leading Guru in the Muthuswamy Deekshithar lineage for 10 years. She went on to pursue her musical career under a leading artist from the Lalgudi school and from a very reputed teacher in Chennai for over 10 years. She has performed in various stages and now looking forward to propagate the art of veena playing to the younger generation. She has trained students of all age group from 5 to 70 . She has been teaching veena for over 6+ years in Oman,Muscat, Chennai & Bangalore
