Shri. Sanjeev Korti

Shri. Sanjeev Korti is a fine sitarist of the newer generation. He has undergone more than eighteen years of rigorous training from Ustad Shafique Khan of Gwalior Gharana, grandson of Sitar Ratna Rahamat Khan. He started to train as a vocalist but after listening to Sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez, ignited a sudden and lasting passion for the sitar. He plays sitar with both gayaki ang and tantra kari ang. He has performed at many prestigious concerts which are aired in AIR and Doordarshan and also composed good music exhibiting artistic talent and command over the sitar instrument. He has also accompanied many light music and kathak dance programmes.
