Shri Nagaraj Shyavi

Shri Nagaraj Shyavi is an established Hindustani vocalist and flutist with more than a decade of experience in teaching. He is a recipient of Karnataka Sangeeta kalaratna, Sangeeta dhyanasiri, vasantotsava Yuva puraskar awards. Trained by famous pandits - Pt. Govindraj Bommalapur, Pt.Ambanna Kopparad, and Vocal Guru’s Pt.Ramachandrappa Uppar, Shri. Nagaraj Shyavi is known for his intricate Improvisations, melodious renderings, and mastery of taan and layakaari. As a global performer, his expertise in the use of Sargams and Sargam taankari (a play on the scale). He trains students from basic to advanced levels. Shri. Nagaraj Shyavi is specialized in training students with a brilliant hold to fundamentals. His amazing breath control, rhythmic stance, and intelligent fusion of passion and creativity have been marveled at and learned by his followers and students.
